Man, I cannot believe how bad photobucket has messed up my blog background!!! I do not have time for this crap right now. GRRR

Oh my, it has been way to long and I need to get myself reacquainted with this platform. There will be a few test runs to be sure I have everything figured out I am sure, so if anyone has continued to follow my blog please kindly overlook the new construction ... or even mess, lol. If anyone sees this and can direct me to a site or whatever with tips on setting all this up and tweaking blogger and making all these sites work together please mention them to me in a comment or direct me to the sites which may be helpful. Thanks :)

On a side note I have been getting into Junk Journaling lately ... And everything associated with it really! I love it. Guess it takes me back to the days of designing scrapbooking elements. I have found that I like doing this much better! I have made two hard cover junk journals so far. I had so much fun doing these!! One is about 8-1/2 x 5-3/4 and is more vintage. The other is about 6-3/4 x 4-3/4 and is totally mermaid themed. I love them both. I am going to take some time and figure out how to upload videos to YouTube and link here for a walk through on those two journals. So, looks like I've got my work cut out for me, lol.

I made a really cool envelope and embellished it. I am going to try to add images here and see if this part still works the same, lol ... TEST RUN :D

 Looks like that may have worked! I made the collage and turned it into an envelope. Was a lot of fun!! More to come ...

Baby it's cold outside ...

Winter is upon us here in Northern Indiana, USA. Night temps are near and below freezing. Brrrr!

Things are slowing down a bit on the home front. Not caught up on computer matters yet (Upgrading OS etc), but it's in the works. 

Spent some time looking around the web and came across a great time filler, and my perfect term for it would be stress release time! It is adult coloring books. I had no idea how much this relieves stress. You can download the free pages yourself and there are books with even better patterns. Here is a small version of the one I did. But instead of coloring it by hand, I did it digitally ... just because, lol.

Life is not always smooth ...

Hello blogger world. I am still here believe it or not. I can't believe how long it has been since I have been in here and I'm still not ready to get back into the swing of things, just thought I would post an update.  

So much has been going on. I've had half my thyroid removed. My DH has had one of his parathyroid removed. My 6 yr old Grandson is fighting Hodgkin Lymphoma and has had chemo and now going through radiation treatments at Riley's Children's Hospital, and my adult Son moved home.

Among many other things on top of those I have to say it has been kind of crazy around here. I still have to upgrade my computer so we all know what that entails and I MUST find the time (and drive!) to even do that.

Anyhoo ... hope to get over some of these hurdles soon and get to feeling better to boot, and back to doing what I love.

If anyone is still reading my blog (thank you!) and you are of a religious nature please pray for my Grandson. His name is Carlos. Thank you.

After spending all day ...

... On these blog settings I am totally exhausted. Not only do things not link like I am used to, I can not edit my template!! What in the hell happened?!? I can edit color but not things like width adjustments etc. This is crazy. Not sure I have any hair left. I am sure it is going to take me some time to relearn all these "new and improved" ways of doing things, especially since I am not finding any tips and tricks out on the web. Looks like I am lost most of my audience due to my absence (my apologies) but if there is someone out there that understands making the posts link to my specified tabs and not the home page PLEASE please send me an email or reply here. Thanks.  

WORST UPDATE EVER BLOGGER!!!

Links are not working. No where to add a web link to the TABS (NEW PAGE) to link it to the tab. No proper instructions for doing this. What a mess, I can't do anything on my blog that works right.

Am I missing something somewhere folks?? Please respond if you have a working solution.

How about that snow!

Right! I have not been in much. There's just been so much going on. Dealing with personal issues, Guardianship, Lawyers and THE WEATHER! So sick of winter. I cannot stress how much. I live in Northern Indiana and we have had our fill of snow, ice, sub-zero temps and windchill's that have been down to -45 degrees.
Anyway, thought I would share some yucky snow pics with you.

This first image is of my back yard. Made it for my Facebook Cover. Even though we have had some melt-off we still cannot see out our living room windows! You can click on this image to make it full size and you may save it and use it on FB, if you'd like to.

Here are two more images of snow. I have some full size if anyone would wish to purchase them for CU (Commercial Use) but I need to figure out an affordable site for selling them on. I don't think that can be done here on Blogger, can it? If anyone has knowledge of this, or ideas for me, please leave me a message. TY.

Freebie Alert & Update

Hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving and Christmas!! That whole time our household was sick with the flu ... still sick and so sick of being sick. All turned out well with testing for my step-daughter ... so very happy about that. Other hurdles to get over but hey, one down, right? Right!

Since I am still lagging behind on getting much of anything done I did throw together a FREEBIE for you Facebook users. How about a 2014 New Years Cover photo to make up for my absence. That is about all I had time for, for now. Hope you like it.

Sorry, I'm still here. I've just been side-tracked with the health of my step daughter. Been in and out of appointments and tests, scans etc. Waiting for results from an MRI to see what the "spot" is they found on her pituitary gland. Praying it is not a tumor. Once things settle down I will be back.

My latest WIP

I have this new project going ... shh, it's a secret since I don't know if I can pull off what I have in mind. If not it becomes a different project, lol.

I LOVE this yarn color combo!! The variegated is RH Earth and Sky.

A couple crocheted items.

The granny square bag was really fun to work. It is based off a smaller pattern called "Granny Square Purse". I had other ideas for it so went my own way. I added really long handles and then knotted them as shown for a visual effect. I wove in satin ribbon in and out of the top row of the granny squares around. The red is really garish in this image but not so on the bag itself. My camera isn't too true to original colors.

The "Kitty" Purse ... aren't they just adorable?! My Granddaughters love them. I made one in RH Pink Camo (see next image) which I just love the color! And this one in purple (doesn't look purple does it!) I don't care for it as much. I got the pattern for this one at Ideal Solutions (edit: it seems to have been removed for some reason. Sorry). There are other patterns available if you Google for them.

A 'charted' leaf pattern I recently did

I have been trying to find some different leaf patterns that look realistic but well - we can't always get what we want. I did find this one on Pinterest and had a go with it. There was no linking address to go with this so I have no idea where it originated from. I got one of those spammy links so never allowed the browser to connect to it. I used this image tho and printed it along with my result from trying the pattern. It is okay but not exactly what I was looking for so the search will go on. If anyone knows where the credit may belong with this chart please send me a note. Thx.

Check it out ... I"m not lost after all

Yeah I know ... it has been a while right?! My apologies. Life gets in the way sometimes and I hope I am on the mend with all those rotten interruptions that have kept me from doing what I love most!

I have some major updates planned. I am still going to do my main category ... Digital Designs, but I am going to add a few new categories to my blog as well. To be honest it has been so long since I did much with my pages that Blogger has changed so much of how things work, it is taking me a bit to catch up ... so bare with me as I work through the new learning curves.

I plan on adding some new categories, and my first new category is going to be Crochet! I love to crochet just about everything. But to be realistic, there is never enough hours in a day to accomplish everything I desire, lol. I'm sure everyone can relate to this! But, I will post some of the things I have crocheted, maybe links to things I "want" to crochet ... etc, etc, etc. I hope along the way you might even find something "YOU" like!

My second new category will be Photography. I have always had a love affair with my camera. I'm not professional by any means, don't have a "pro" camera, but it's good enough for me, for now. And I can manipulate the crap out of them to make them look even better *wink*. I will show you some of my favorite pics and after I set up shop I will even have full size images for sale.

I think I will also want to work on a new background design. I like this one but want something more cheery!  That will be a work in progress however .....

Enough good news for now. Follow me through my journey and be sure to check back often. I hope to be around much more often!

Purely irritating .......

I DO NOT like this new set up. Why does everyone want to fix what was not broke in the first place? It only made things worse. Wonder if I can go back??? Anyone know?

And where are all these so called "BLOG WALKERS" commenting on the chat (whose sites lead to spam, adverts and BS!) coming from??? Guess I could remove the chat box. UGH ... sick of it! Get a life people ....

What has happened to Blogger!!?

WOW ... okay, I admit it has been a while since I have been in again. Just been kind of out of it I guess. At any rate, we have this NEW and IMPROVED (remains to be seen!) way of doing things and I still haven't figured it all out. I can't even visit my fellow bloggers and post a comment. WTH?? I went to several sites and nothing. What in the world is going on? I click to use my goggle account, nope, tried open id, nope ... just ends up with a blank box after I click to send it, no matter what I try. anyone have any ideas or know what is going on? Please comment. Thank you.

Note and Mothers Day Card Printable Freebie

I hate making titles, lol / Not Interested?

I made a homemade card for my MIL a few weeks back and have been working on a crochet/bead garland for the Christmas tree.

Here is the front. Nothing fancy really but yet I think it looks elegant.

And this is the garland I have been working on. I have a huge tree and the little garland I used last year was gobbled up by the tree and wasn't that visible so I have been making a different one. I like it and think it will look nice on the tree. Wish this image had better detail, sorry.
